102m of wood arrived to form the base of the deck. Only took a mere 6 weeks from orders. Well, it was French douglas fir. Just had to let it grow first

Buying the kitchen
Drove to ikea to pick up the kitchen.
French debit cars have a low limit, so it bounced when asked to give €3600 to Ikea. On the plus side, though, they took a cheque.
Longest receipt ever at 900mm.

Electrolux RM122
As part of the moving to France gear, I bought a working, but old absorption fridge. £50 ebay.
Pretty rusty, so removed the cooling/heating gear. It stays complete. Cleaned and primed to stop the rust. Nice 3 way fridge. Used a lot of gas and we used 240V when possible. Never got ice!
